Caring for Your NOÉMI Cashmere
Cashmere is one of nature's most exquisite fibres — and with the right care, your NOÉMI piece will remain a cherished part of your wardrobe for years to come.
WASHING
Hand wash is recommended Fill a basin with cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C / 86°F). Add a small amount of gentle wool or cashmere detergent. Gently submerge the garment and softly move it through the water. Do not rub, twist, or wring. Rinse thoroughly in clean cold water.
Machine wash (if necessary) Use the wool or delicate cycle only. Cold water only. Place the garment in a mesh laundry bag. Use a gentle wool detergent.
Dry cleaning Dry cleaning is safe for all NOÉMI cashmere pieces and is recommended for structured garments such as coats and blazers.
DRYING
Never tumble dry cashmere — heat will shrink and damage the fibres permanently.
To dry: gently press the garment against the side of the basin to remove excess water (do not wring). Lay flat on a clean dry towel. Reshape gently to its original form. Leave to dry naturally away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
STORAGE
Always store cashmere clean — never store a worn garment as natural oils and perspiration attract moths.
Fold cashmere — never hang it. Hanging causes the fibres to stretch and lose their shape over time.
Store in a breathable cotton bag or drawer. Avoid plastic bags which trap moisture.
Use cedar balls or lavender sachets to deter moths naturally.
PILLING
Some light pilling may occur with a new cashmere garment — this is completely normal and a sign of the natural fibre. It will reduce with wear and washing.
To remove pills, use a cashmere comb or fabric shaver gently across the surface.
GENERAL TIPS
Rotate your cashmere pieces and allow them to rest between wears. Air your garments after wearing before storing. Address stains immediately by gently dabbing (never rubbing) with cold water.
With love and care, your NOÉMI cashmere will only grow softer and more beautiful with time.
